All Things Vintage #13

Welcome! I’m so glad you could join me today for this bi-weekly round-up of what we have been up to lately!

morning routine

Each morning during the week, I take a walk. It started out as 15 minutes out and then 15 minutes back and it was almost 1 mile.

Then I increased to about 1 1/2 miles. Then 2 miles. I had gone up to 3 miles but after about 1 1/2 weeks, my hips were hurting and not in the good way-because-I-am-working-those-muscles kind of way. So I went back down to 2 1/2 miles.

That helped. The plan is to continue until I have built up some strength and then I will go for 3 miles again.

While I am on my walks, I look for something of beauty and snap a quick photo to share on my Instagram Stories. My followers enjoy this and so do I! It’s a great start to my day.

When I posted this image, one of my smart followers let me know what type of plant this one is: It is called a Jewelweed and is mildly toxic!

I’ll be sure not to eat them 😊

our recent projects

Over the last couple of weeks, we have been steady with projects.

This gorgeous chair – a kitty cat ruined it and we gave it some much-needed love.

We also made an easy fall wreath using acorns and pinecones. Super simple and super quick! You’ll want one for your front door for fall!

You’re going to love this easy tutorial on how to paint pine furniture. We took a drab-looking pine cupboard and gave it a fresh look!

We made over our front porch! You won’t believe how easy and how inexpensive this weekend makeover took! And the results….you have to go see the whole post!

Instagram reel

I even made a fun Instagram Reel with my friend Anna from Skylark House. Watch to see how we ‘toss’ supplies back and forth from her home in New York to my home in Delaware!

I’ve been loving the simple things in life lately and I found a podcast that celebrates and encourages simple living.

Lisa from Farmhouse on Boone shares weekly about their simple living on a farm with lots of kids. She shares simple cooking, decorating, and sometimes business tips. You might enjoy this podcast too!
