Weekend Shopping Winding Down Summer

Hi friend! Thanks for popping by today. I have some things to share with you…..

A charming cottage door with a wreath, surrounded by plants, a watering can, and a garden scene in the background. A window with flowers and a hanging lamp are also visible.

Life takes so many turns, from one day to the next! We never know what is around the corner.

My 90-year-old mom took a hard fall this week, so I’ve been spending time with her as she recovers.

She was out pulling weeds in her garden when she fell on her cement porch steps! Thankfully, she is ok, but she cracked three ribs, has a big gash on the side of her head, and had 15 stitches on her arm.

She managed to get herself indoors and attempted to stop the bleeding from her head with her t-shirt. Thankfully, she had the wherewithall to use her iphone to call the closest neighbor. She showed up on the spot and called the ambulance for my mom and then called me.

Of course, I dropped everything and rushed over to her home, which is only 10 minutes away from me. The ambulance rushed her to the ER, and they took perfect care of her. One of my sisters met us there, and several hours later we had her home safe and sound.

Are you in a summer slowdown? I am, well, sorta …. I’m deterring garter snakes around my property. They are so good at keeping the mice away, but they startle me when I see them on my patio!! I'”‘m also having an explosion of nut sedge in my lawn. I’m trying to get it under control.

Do you like linen clothing? I’m hooked on natural fibers. All of these shorts are mostly 100% natural linen and cotton with a touch of viscose. They are super comfy and I’m sure you will love them as much as I do!

Are you staying hydrated? I’m working on it! These 20oz tumblers are a bit smaller than the huge one I had, and they are easier to carry around. They also hold ice for hours!
