Weekend Shopping Last Minute Gift Ideas Under $25

This year, I’ve enjoyed decorating our home for the Christmas season.

I took it slow (except for decorating my garden shed!) and took my time adding festive touches here and there.

Our mantel is decorated, our tree is up and our dining room looks ready for a lovely dinner party. You’ll see links to those posts and videos later in this post.

For now, I want to think about the meaning behind this holiday season. I realize many of you may or may not believe as I do. So bear with me for a minute.

For unto us a child is born…
Isaiah 9:6

He came to offer a new way of living, of thinking…. a new way to see. He taught us about forgiveness, sacrifice and kindness. He came to show us freedom, faith and security. He came to teach us to love and serve others. He came to show us peace and mercy.

And so much more.

He came as a baby with so much capacity to love even as an infant. We can look to him for all we need in the deepest places of our hearts.
