Welcome! My name is Cindy and I am so glad you stopped by!

My husband, Steve, and I live in the small town of Milford in the small state of Delaware.  We are the parents of three grown children + a sweet daughter-in-law + a couple of handsome son’s-in-law + four grandbabies + a teenage grandson + a furry little fella we call Barkly.

We love the simple life we live as we reinvent together!

Some of my favorite things

Our reinventing journey officially turned into a business about 5 years ago when our youngest daughter suggested we take our hobby of 30+ years and turn it into a business!

We opened our first vendor spot in a local antique shop, painted a couple of dressers, and reinvented some fence pickets, and just like that, we were in business!

After six years of serving the local community, we decided to close our vendor spot but we want to continue to share with you the fun projects we have going on for our own home!

We decided to begin our blog so that we could teach you how we do what we do here at Reinvented Delaware. We carefully photograph our step-by-step process for many of our projects in hopes that you will be inspired to tackle your own projects.

We are excited to share all that we have learned over the years of completing many DIY projects with a budget-friendly approach. Taking old items and turning them into useful items for our home and for your home is one of our passions!

If you are a do-it-yourselfer or a weekend-project-completer then you are in the right spot!  We will help you take items from yard sales or thrift shops and turn them into something useful for your home!

You might even be able to look around your own home and find something ‘old’ to reinvent into something new!

You will find simple, step-by-step how-tos for many projects.  You will also see firsthand the products that we use with great results!  I promise not to recommend any product we have not personally tested 🙂

Last time we looked at this antique cabinet it had been prepped, sanded, painted, and sealed. Now it's time to see the furniture makeover before and after! #vintagefarmhouse #vintagehomedecor #paintedfurniturelove

Since we have been reinventing items for our home for the last 30+ years, you can be assured that we have had many successes and failures where repurposing items is concerned!

From our experiences, you will learn the dos and don’ts of recreating and adding your own personal touch to your home.
