Weekly Thrifting Tip

My tip this week is about thrifted pieces management. Being a thrift-a-holic can lead to the problem of clutter.

When we sold many of our pieces at a local vendor booth, inventory management was a bit different and yet very similar to thrifting for our home.

Both involved balancing between having enough in our spaces – home and the vendor spot – and not having so much that it looked messy.

My tip, if you are thrifting for your home, is to keep a basket available for periodic purging. I keep a laundry basket in a spare closet and regularly add items to it that no longer fit our home or I’ve grown tired of it. When it is full, I donate the items.

This is a great way to have fresh pieces to decorate and use in your home. It’s definitely better than donating brand-new items bought at retail prices!

BTW, if you thrift for your vendor booth, keep enough backup inventory to restock your booth within the space you have to store those items. Try your best to not go beyond the storage space you have allotted for backup inventory! This is a challenge, believe me!

Let’s start sharing! Because this is a party, we encourage all who link up to visit several other bloggers who have linked as well – comments and pins are a great way to spread the love!

Before you get started, take a look at our guidelines:

  • This party is for home decor and home-related posts only (recipes, organizing, DIY, crafts, etc.). Link up to 3 related posts. Please do not link up informational posts that do not relate to the topic.
  • If you would please not link up shops, advertising, round-ups, other link parties, or any posts promoting sales, we would appreciate it.
  • DO NOT PIN FROM IMAGES ON THIS PAGE (it just won’t work right on Pinterest). However, please visit the original post/source and pin from there. That works perfectly!
  • Please make sure that your images are in a jpeg or png format. If we can’t save your image, we may not be able to feature you. So sad!
  • By linking to the party, you give us permission to share your projects on our blogs and social media. We will always give proper credit with a no-pin image.

We’re looking forward to all of your fun posts this week! Give us your best!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!
