All Things Vintage #2

How’s your week been? Have you had good weather? Here in Delaware the weather has been amazing! We even hit 70* one day!

You can bet I was in my workshop with the garage door wide open that whole day!

this week’s news

This week in my workshop, I continued on the custom dining room set we have been working on for a few weeks. The chairs are finished and delivered and now I am working on the table.

You can watch me next week in Instagram Stories to see how I am removing the paint from the table. I’ll show you how I remove the layers of paint with an easy method!

You might be shocked when you see this table top. I’ll sum it all up with a few words: Covid and children homeschooling while parents are working from home. No judgement here! Those parents were just trying to survive!

I was able to strip the paint from one set of legs this week. I’ll write a post about that process in the next few weeks.

I mentioned in my last All Things Vintage that one of my daughters and I had a wedding craft weekend here at our home.

It was a day filled with cleaning mirrors, designing graphics, cutting them with her Cricut, ‘weeding’ and applying them to the mirrors she had painted.

And of course, we had some laughter, podcasts and take out from Applebees!

We accomplished so much!! There are still many projects to do, but if we keep going at this rate, we’ll get it all done :).

At least, that’s the plan. 😉

this week’s inspiration

Each week this year, I have been focusing on a scripture verse with the theme of my word of the year this year, Hope.

May integrity and uprightness protect me because my hope, Lord, is in you.

Psalm 25:21

That word integrity stuck out to me. Especially as it relates to how it protects me. Integrity is defined as, “the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.” That quality protects me. He offers a path of protection as we walk, and learn to walk, the road of integrity.
