Organ Stools | Easy Makeovers
They started appearing. Everywhere I looked, there was another organ stool.
There were the two stacked on top of each other.
There was one tucked away in the corner of a fellow vendor booth.
Then there was the one stuck in a box at an auction.
They were everywhere! And I fell in love!
These sweet little stools are so easy to find at vintage shops and even at auctions.
And soooo easy to make over.
Often the original paint finish is already perfect and it only needs to be cleaned and sealed.
Sometimes they are all wood.
If the wood is in good shape, give it a good cleaning and a finish of hemp oil or furniture wax.
All that’s left is to replace the fabric and the batting on the seat.
These stools are becoming some of my favorite pieces to reinvent. They are small so they don’t take very long to makeover.
And they can bring a sense of vintage to any corner in any room.
