Stay Home |Good Morning Stories

I am hoping all is well with you and your families.

stay home

We are facing such a challenging time in our nation as we stay at home during this COVID-19 crisis. It is hard to know what to even write. So I thought I would just share some beauty that we have in this world.

starting my day

For the last few months, I have been starting my day by going outdoors early in the morning and looking for any bit of beauty I could see. I capture it with my phone camera and have been sharing them on Instagram Stories. I call these my Good Morning Stories and you can find them in my IG Highlight bubbles.

It seems even more appropriate now that I continue to share even the smallest inkling of beauty as a way of bringing joy to my morning and hopefully, to others as well.

early morning

The images are taken usually between 7 and 7:30 in the morning, rain or shine, in whatever temperature it is at that hour. After a quick walk around our yard, I can usually find something to capture.

get close

Often, I take several images of the same thing using different angles and sometimes getting in really close to the object. Doing this has helped me to see beyond the thing I see at first glance.

This particular morning, I saw a fresh crocus just opening up for the day. This flower is only about 4″ tall and the bloom is fairly small. How often do I walk by it without even noticing?

The closer I get the more detail I see and the more beauty I see.

be patient

Sometimes there is a slight breeze in the mornings and I have to be patient and wait for the breeze to stop for a split second. And I am so glad that I have to stop because it helps me to closely watch the object I am trying to capture.

This little fella is what I saw when the breeze stopped. He was just nestled in for the night and hadn’t quite woken up yet. There was just something peaceful about watching this little bug rest in the leaves of this plant.

look for beauty

My encouragement to you during this challenging and uncertain time is to look closely to see the beauty around you. The news is so full of the negatives going on in this world that we need to see the positives also. Sometimes that means we need to slow down, look around and enjoy the simple things in life.

Hugs to each of you. Sending you all the best :).

Thank you for the beautiful pictures……it is so easy for us to take all of the beauty in the world for granted. As the world battles this invisible enemy we should be grateful to spend quality time with family and enjoy this precious time to reconnect.

So true Wanda. Sometimes the distractions need to be removed in our lives so we can see those that are precious to us. Thanks for stopping by. I hope all is well with you and your family?

    Cindy,

Your pictures are beautiful and I think are magazine worthy! You could even enter some of them at the Delaware State Fair, might be fun!

Your words of inspiration are wonderful, especially now with so much negative news that we hear on the News every minute of every day. It’s so nice to read these inspirational words and see the beautiful pictures of things that we may not be able to see in our everyday world, especially now; they definitely lifted my spirits. Keep sharing these pics on your blog to keep our spirits up and to help us to find beautiful things to appreciate in our little part of the world. Hugs and love to you both!
