Flea Market Table Makeover Step by Step Guide

Do you love the look of vintage furniture, but don’t want to pay the high prices? If so, then you’ll love flea market furniture flip makeovers!

Shop for a sweet little side table at thrift stores like this Duncan Phyfe Drum Table. Give the piece a good cleaning with TSP then wipe clean with a cloth to remove any residue.

Give the piece of furniture a scuff sand with a fine grit sanding pad then choose your chalk paint colors!

Apply one - two coats of primer then apply the paint. Use two colors and blend the paint colors together where they meet up.

Use three brushes, one for each color and one for blending. Use a tapping motion with very little paint to blend the colors for a gradient effect.

Use the same paint blending method for the top of the table. I used two neutral colors for the table top.

Apply the first base coat in a cross-hatch pattern to create additional texture to the surface.

A decorative transfer is an easy way to jazz up this furniture makeover!

Two coats of clear coat in flat will seal and protect the old furniture piece for years to come!

Can you believe this before and after furniture makeover? Isn't it gorgeous?
