Easy DIY Fall Wreath

Making your own pine cone wreath is a fun project to do each year. This is a great way to decorate for the fall season without a lot of extra cost. Most of the supplies you might already have one hand.

Gather your pinecones and snip them into individual flower sections. You should be able to get 3-5 pinecone flowers from each pine cone depending on it's size.

Paint your pinecone flowers in a variety of fall colors like mustard yellow, barn red and warm orange

Paint as many as you like! I used about 30-35 painted pinecone flowers for my wreath.

While the painted pine cones dry, attach raffia to a wire wreath frame using thin brown craft wire. Secure in several sections leaving long tails of wire loose.

Use the loose ends of wire to secure whole pine cones on the wire frame overtop of the raffia.

Attach the pine cones in clusters of three all the way around the wreath.

Use hot glue to attach the painted pinecone flowers onto the wreath. Spread the colors out to give a balanced look.

Add small unopened pinecones for a whimisical look to this DIY fall wreath!

Add small clusters of faux greenery to the wreath for another layer of texture and color.
