Prep the furniture piece by cleaning it thoroughly. Prime the cleaned end table to prevent stains and bleedthrough.
Apply two coats of your desired chalk paint color to the piece. Allow proper drying time between coats.
Seal the paint if needed. If you use an all-in-one paint like Silk mineral paint, there is no need to seal the finish!
Allow the finishes to dry completely before applying the peel-and-stick wallpaper.
Apply peel-and-stick wallpaper in your desired pattern to coordinate with your paint color. Measure the paper allowing plenty of extra around the edges. Apply the paper carefully starting at one end and then removing the paper from the underside as you go. Smooth out the paper to get rid of air bubbles.
Use a sharp Xacto knife to cut off the excess paper by holding the blade at an angle against the edge to create a clean cut.
Smooth the paper even more with a dry soft cloth to ensure firm contact with the table surface.
Enjoy your easy end table makeover in whatever room you choose!
