Join us for this fun introductory class on the basics of watercolors. You will learn how to mix watercolors, how to create a color wheel and how to paint a wreath of watercolor leaves that can be used on note cards.

All supplies are provided and will include: watercolors, paint brush, watercolor paper for cards and color wheel, and other miscellaneous supplies.

Cost of the workshop is $25. You will be taking the watercolors, paint brush, two note cards and color wheel home with you!

Painting was a hobby until someone suggested I offer watercolor cards for sale in our spot at Wilderlove.

And then someone else suggested I host a workshop teaching the basics I have have learned so far.

Even though it feels weird to talk about myself, here I am talking about myself!😂

> I learned lettering and calligraphy in high school with a pointed pen and a bottle of ink. It was one of my favorite classes besides sewing class.
> and speaking of sewing, I learned how to sew at the young age of 9. My first lessons were how to rip out seams that my older sister messed up on! Smart thinking, right??

The reclaimed oak wood tops are on the custom cabinets we have been working on!!
😊
If you remember, we disassembled a 100 year old roll top desk and we are using the two base cabinets as side tables.
😊
But we didn’t have tops for them! No worries, I know a cute woodworker!
😍
Our client wanted the oak to show through so after applying a secret ingredient to age the wood tops, I applied the sealer.
😊
After a couple of coats of the sealer, this custom order will be complete!
😊

Ya’ know all those lotions and creams we put on our faces to get rid of so called imperfections and dark marks we get as we age?

They make promises of youthful beauty if we use their products faithfully.
🙋🏻‍♀️
Now listen, I am not opposed to a good face cream—I use the fancy stuff that I order with my grocery pickup from Walmart!
💁🏻‍♀️
But how about we start cutting ourselves some slack and go with the idea that the marks we wear on our faces are beauty marks, wisdom marks, experience marks, growing marks and living life marks??
🤷🏻‍♀️
Like these drawers! The joinery you see here dates the piece to mid-late 1800’s. We love to think of the history this piece has seen. We love to think of the stories that this furniture piece was a part of. And the marks of use just add to the charm of this piece!

So I say let’s be like these drawers and be proud of our beauty marks that come with age!

BTW, I’m still going to put lotion on my face tonight!! And I will be adding MMS Hemp Oil to the drawers!

This project turned out even better than I imagined! I mean look at that dark chocolate goodness that came from a custom mix of MMS Milk Paint in Typewriter and Curio!

I added a bit of special detail to the door headboard that I didn’t tell you about last week — can you guess the details I added?
