All Things Vintage #1

Welcome to my first weekly All Things Vintage post! I’m excited to share with you the things we’ve been up to, fun finds I come across while surfing the web, and some tidbits of our life!

And as much vintage goodness as I can squeeze in!

Today is going to be a great day in Delaware! One of my daughters is engaged to be married this May and today we are crafting together for the wedding!

What could be better than crafting with one of my sweet girls on a gorgeous Saturday?

I’ll try to capture some of the crafting we are doing for her wedding, but honestly, I’ll be pretty focused on time with her.

Podcasts have been in my earbuds this week. Call me strange, but crime mysteries grab my attention.

Dateline NBC aired an episode about a young man’s death that leaves a lot of questions. I won’t spoil it for you if you decide to listen.

I’ve also enjoyed some of the beautiful artwork of my friend Libby over on Instagram. She is a watercolor artist and this week you won’t believe what she is painting on! Not your typical canvas, that’s for sure!

This year my word of the year is hope. To go along with my word of the year, I am finding a scripture verse each week that talks about hope or encourages the reader towards hope or someone in the Bible who demonstrates hope.

You get the idea.

Here is the verse I chose for this week:

Yes, my soul, find rest in Him, my hope comes from God.

Psalm 62:5

Each day of the week, I look up the verse for the week and write it out in my journal. I like to use a different version of scripture each day to gain a new perspective on that verse.

It’s been such a refreshment to my soul. Join me if you are interested! I’ll post a new verse here each Saturday!

This week (and the last several weeks) I finished our custom clients dining room chairs! They were stripped with a heat gun, sanded, cleaned, primed, painted and the seats were recovered. Whew!

The dining table will be here next week and we will tackle that!

In the meantime, we also worked on this fun project! Such a cute piece of history!

I also shared these adorable vintage finds that have popped into my life a lot lately. You’re going to love these little sweeties!

We have been collectors of All Things Vintage for all of our 37+ married years.
