All Things Vintage

Summer is in full swing and our flower cutting garden is growing beautifully! Did you plant a cutting garden? Tell me about it in the comments!

The cutting garden is located in our side yard and it’s been fun to go out in the mornings and grab a shot like the one you see below and share it with my followers on Instagram. It’s a good way to begin the day and my followers seem to enjoy it. Join us over there and be sure to say ‘hi’ in my DMs!

recent projects

Over the last couple of weeks, I was able to share some fun projects with you. I’m not sure which is my favorite – they are kinda like your kids, they are all my favorites!

But if I had to pick one (or maybe two) I would say the Picket Fence Sign for our back breezeway is high on the list. I added, “circa 1983” as a reminder to us of when our journey together began.

Ok, who am I kidding, see that adorable little gray table with the pretty leaf design? Seriously, it’s my fave! Maybe because it was such an easy makeover, maybe it’s because of the paper I used, who knows why I just love it and I think you will too!

Ask me next week and I will probably have a new favorite!

If you like to watch the process, here is a video showing you how we made that adorable porch sign using reclaimed fence pickets! You’re going to enjoy this one!

The latest on Youtube:

my current read (actually it’s my current ‘listen’)

Audiobooks are becoming the main way I read lately. I still love to hold an actual book and read but while I am busy painting a piece of furniture in my workshop, listening to an audiobook comes in handy!

Did you know that with an Amazon Prime Membership you can listen to one audiobook each month for FREE?? If you don’t already have a Prime Membership, click the banner below and join. You won’t regret it!

Here is a link to join Audible. We have the regular Prime Premium Plus and it offers one free credit each month. That means one book per month for free! Be sure to get the Audible App on your phone to start listening to your next favorite book!

This is the book that I just finished. I read the hard copy years ago and really enjoyed it!

Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint Blog

This week I had the honor of sharing one of our furniture makeover tutorials over on Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint blog! I chose this poor little washstand for the project. She needed some love so that’s exactly what I gave her!

You can click HERE to see the full tutorial. You won’t believe your eyes when you see how lovely this piece turned out!

one for the road

Have you seen any of these large thick glass jars in your local thrift stores? I keep coming across them so hubby and I decided to turn one of them into a lamp for our home! Be sure to read and save the post to your Pinterest boards so the next time you see one of these jars (or any other jar for that matter!) you’ll be able to refer to our instructions!
