All Things Vintage

This week in All Things Vintage, I am sharing some of our recent projects and what we have been up to here at Reinvented Delaware!

Easy Summer Projects

Welcome to All Things Vintage this week! This week is a big catch-up week for me and for our work here at Reinvented Delaware.

Covid came to visit and she was not a welcome guest! Hubby had it first and it seemed to pass relatively easily and quickly.

But then she moved in with me, hung around for a solid three weeks, and kept her foot in the door for another week! It was a month of my life that is gone!

In the middle of our Covid experience, one of our daughters celebrated her marriage to an amazing man. Their small intimate wedding day turned out beautifully and I was in the safe zone with Covid (according to my doctor) so hubby and I were able to experience it all! We are so blessed!

The blessings are abundant in our yard too! The cutting garden I started this year is taking off and it makes my heart so happy to see blooms forming like this dahlia!

latest projects

For the last couple of weeks, I’ve been trying to get back in the swing of things but I must tell you, it has been a challenge! I’m claiming Covid-brain!

Is that a thing?? I hear it is! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

We have managed to get a few of our projects done. Most recently, this cute little footstool got an easy and fast makeover. Isn’t it so adorable?

We also joined a group of fellow upcyclers and gave an outdated melamine tray a patriotic makeover.

We have a new grandson on the way and he needed his own furniture. His mommy and I had a great day together painting this special set of antique dressers.

Believe it or not, the first day I had Covid, I recorded a front porch makeover for YouTube! I started in the morning and by the afternoon I was wiped out. I slept for the rest of the day. That was the first sign that I wasn’t well.

favorite novel

Have you watched the new movie “Redeeming Love” yet? I haven’t seen it yet but I have read the novel about 10 times over the years! It’s a beautiful story of God’s love for us even though we might have turned our backs on Him.

The novel is a fictional story that uses the book of Hosea from the Bible as its basis. Hosea is filled with the story of God’s love for His people and the novel tells the story of a man’s love for a wayward wife.

Both are so impactful and that is why I have read the novel so many times! My weekly Bible study group is going through the book of Hosea together and discussing the novel as well. It’s like a Bible Book Club!

An open Bible and an open Redeeming Love book.

Here is a link to the novel on Amazon as well as the Bible I use on a daily basis. It has a single column of text instead of the usual 2 columns and that leaves space for note-taking. I’ve linked two different covers for you! I use the brown leather cover but the print cover is so pretty!!

new clothes

Have you been shopping for new clothes for the summer yet? I’m replacing some of my shorts and wearing dresses this spring and summer.

Amazon has some of the best casual dresses that I’ve been wearing most days. Unless I am in my workshop, where I am usually in painting clothes, you’ll find me in any one of the dresses below!

There are some of the cutest Sanuk sandals to go along with the dresses. I have both pairs and I love them! Use the arrows to scroll forward and backward to see all the pretty dresses and the sandals.
